Solid State Drives, or 'SSD' Drives have been around for a while. You'll probably not have even noticed them - sneaking around in the form of Memory sticks, Express 34 Cards for Digital Cameras, SDHC Cards, SD Cards. They're all forms of SSD. They are very high capacity, some are extremely fast, ultra-reliable, do not degrade over time, are silent and are super-efficient.
Here at ZeroThree we're very very happy to be able to offer these new drives that sustain 190Mb/s to 230Mb/s transfer rates. Compared to around 23Mb/s for the standard 320Gb Hitachi Laptop 'Traditional' drive installed in standard Macs, you'll see this difference is, well, mind-blowing to say the least. These options are available on MacBook Pro and Mac Mini right now.

Apple delivered an extremely significant keynote speach early morning our time on the 9th June. The enitre laptop range has been updated with cheaper, better custom options. The previous 13" MacBook Aluminium MacBooks have gained SD memory Slots and Forewire 800 and have been renamed 13" MacBook Pro's. They are now available with some insane Solid State Drive (SSD) options also. Express 34 has gone across the range sadly althogh the 17" MacBook Pro does still have Express 34 - keeping XD-CAM and P-5 producers happy! No SD slot in this model though.. No great drama!
MacBook Pro also has slightly better Processor options at the top end of the range and MacBook Air also received the new battery and screen. Price-drops in solid state technology are now filtering through and we have immediately adopted the latest pricing and super-fast drives as options in out MacBook Pro's and Mac Mini's.

It's been, well, a little neglected and looked pretty rubbish... That's now ended and we've given it the same friendly, updated interface and look that we have here at Zerothree.
